About Our Organization
Greybeard Associates Organization is a Virginia based Not-For-Profit Organization.  Our organizational focus is composed to two tracks. The first track consists of a venue for mature individuals to engage in social interaction such as a conversational forum application, a blog facility for essay or opinion pieces, and other items such as a newsy accumulator. The second track provides mature individuals with an opportunity remain productive in their retirement years with opportunities to participate in a consultative work venue. The consulting venue serves as a membership inclusive capacity where our members have the opportunity for identification of potential productive opportunities, marketing for work opportunity, as well as to participate in active tasking, completion and revenue earning efforts. The Greybeard organization consulting section will focus our group efforts within services area as partially identified in our Service web page.

Our Officers
Greybeard Associates Organization has been formed by Harvey Hodges who serves as the Managing Director. Mr. Hodges was the originator of the earlier effort for mature individuals with the establishment of a conversational forum, similar in a small part to the MySpace or Facebook. We were definately not anywhere near the complexity of those two venues. Harvey and several senior citizens were participants on a forum supplied by the AARP organization and decided to leave the board to form their own area with less animosity. Harvey then obtained a web site using his own funds and at one point he and the original former AARP few had recruited some 200 folks to that forum.

Harvey has been retired for slightly over 10 years now having spent some 55 years in the IT industry. At his retirement, he and family formed a nonprofit organization to host golf classics in order to raise funds for Meningococcal Disease and the National Meningitis Association. This organization and the golf outings were in memory of his son Mike who passed from a Bacterial Meningitis infection. Harvey now has created another web site, dedicated to mature citizens which will provide a recreational facility for conversational forum activity, a blog facility for opinions and essays, and most likely a News Accumulator.
Also with this web site, Harvey has plans to provide a venue for any interested members to participate in idenfying, promoting, and performing some forms of consultative activity. This capability is designed to enable our mature members to continue to be productive and to continue the shareing of their subject matter knowledge, specific expertise and experience, and perhaps even functional instructional capabilities.

As the organization grows, an advisory board of directors will be instituted with members acting a guides to ensure the organization continues to provide appropriate services. Harvey will remain as the Managing Director considering his actual ownership of the site, the software and the component of the overall web facilities. Eventually, as the organization grows in membership, additional officers will be identified and installed. As other officers are established, their bio will be entered here.

Future Goals
The organization is focued and projecting our efforts toward the establishment of a stable and revenue neutral corporate organization structure. Our organization will focus on obtaining task oriented business efforts to generate revenue for the participants and funds for support of worthwhile organizations who provide beneficial services to the community. Additionally, we are focusing on expanding our service organization into a more robust variety of offerings in the business administrative area including consultative evaluation of organization structure, development of policies and procedures and compliance consultative evaluation, we also will focus on governmental structure in the federal, state and local arena as a subcontracting supplier for businesses engaged in appropriate areas of engineering technology, Information Technology services area, Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery Planning, IT Strategic Planning, Application Development and Implementation programs, and other similar services


Summary
Greybeard Associates was re-established in 2022 as a not for profit organization dedicated to providing a resource for mature men and women who are retired, soon to be retired or semi-retired and who are interested in participating in a social web site with a conversational forum, a blog for presenting ideas or opinions, a news accumulator and potentially a market forum for offering items for sale or purchase. The site will also provide a facility for the identifying, promoting, and servicing part-time temporary and task defined work projects.

We are creating a Member Registration function that will enable senior/mature individuals to access productive work tasks, recreational activities such as chat and forum interaction with other mature individuals and a blog area that will encourage input from the membership as well as the management of the Greybeard organization itself.
